Our Story

Hello! We are William and Laura, two Ontario natives who met in 2014 and have been inseparable ever since. We are your typical 9-to-5 worker bees who decided shortly after getting together that we shared a love of simplicity and adventure. After a lot of thinking, planning, and purging, we decided to retrofit our 2005 Chrysler Town and Country with all we would need to hit the road and explore.   In 2016, we officially started our journey and plan to be on the road exploring new destinations.

ABOUT LAURA

LauraR

Laura is the Administrator of a health care facility by day and a free spirited traveling gypsy ANY chance she gets. The more eco conscious and effortless the better.  If there was a “silliness” spectrum (*and Laura is convinced there is!) Laura is happily sitting at one end and William is working out the practical details at the other. Laura’s love for photography, art and creative journaling sparked the creation of 2nomadsinavan.com.  William is very lucky to have such a vibrant nomad as a travel partner. Laura’s antics ensure there is never a dull moment and often result in a good ol’ fashion “Oh Lordy!” from William!

ABOUT WILLIAM

WilliamR
William is a Civil Engineer by day and a traveling nomad by night. He is also the guy who drives the free spirited gypsy around, laying out the travel routes making sure they get the most out of their time on the road. Google Maps……Where is the closest comic book store?  William has customized their Town and Country mini-van (*Lets fire up Civil 3D AutoCAD!), mixed it with Laura’s flare for decor, and as a result, a functional home away from home on wheels was born. Laura is truly lucky to have such a laid back nomad as a partner, unless he doesn’t get his morning coffee and then look out!
